Nurturing Emotional Intelligence in Children with Energy Healing

One aspect of my healing work that I have grown to love is working with children under 10, especially my 8-year-old daughter. She enjoys the process of energy release and uses it to understand her feelings, name them, and incorporate mindfulness techniques into the release process. It's a tool that not only helps her emotionally but also nurtures her mental clarity and self-awareness.
Occasionally, after school, she'll tell me about something that made her unhappy. Instead of jumping straight into an energy release, we talk about the situation first so she can consciously process and communicate the issue. This step is crucial for developing emotional intelligence, teaching her how to articulate her thoughts and feelings instead of burying them. We discuss possible solutions and think about how to handle similar situations in the future or reflect on what she learned from the experience.
Afterwards, I use the Emotion Code to identify any trapped emotions. My daughter finds this process fascinating, and it helps her to see how emotions can affect her physically. During the release, she takes slow, deep breaths and imagines the negative emotion—such as anxiety—packing a suitcase, boarding a plane, and flying away. It’s such a beautiful image, and once the emotion is released, she feels lighter, more in control, and ready to move forward. This visualisation of the release is her own and she shared it with me one evening as I was doing an energy release on her before bed.
What I’ve learned from working with her is that energy healing isn't just about removing emotional pain; it's about teaching her to recognise and trust her feelings. She's learned to notice when something doesn’t feel right in her body and asks for a release when she knows she needs it. This type of self-awareness is a profound gift, and I believe all children can benefit from this kind of emotional education.
I often think about what a difference it would make if we practised this regularly with all children.
By teaching them how to communicate their feelings, practice mindfulness, and release emotional blockages, we could significantly reduce the emotional weight they carry into adulthood. In today’s world, children are constantly exposed to emotionally charged content—from social media to advertisements designed to capture their attention. These experiences can leave them with trapped emotional energy or imbalances, which, if not addressed, could affect their well-being in the long run.
Working with children has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my healing practice. I’ve seen firsthand how freeing it can be for a child to release trapped emotions early in life. It allows them to enjoy their childhood fully, without the emotional baggage that many adults carry. As adults, we can struggle to navigate life with unresolved childhood trauma.
By releasing these emotions early, children are better equipped to grow into balanced, emotionally healthy adults.
How Energy Healing Can Benefit Other Children
While my daughter’s journey has been a personal one, I’ve had the privilege of working with many other children through energy healing. The results have been profound. Children who struggle with anxiety, fear, or emotional overwhelm can experience a noticeable difference after a few sessions. They become more confident in expressing their feelings, more resilient in the face of challenges, and better equipped to manage stress.

It offers a proactive approach to supporting their child’s emotional well-being and provides them with tools to help their children cope with the ups and downs of life.
